REAR ANTI-SWAY BAR INSTALLATION

PREPARATION:

  • RAISE CAR ON LIFT OR PLACE SECURELY ON JACKSTANDS
  • REMOVE REAR WHEELS

INSTALLATION:

  • IF APPLICABLE, REMOVE ABS SENSOR WIRE FROM RETAINER CLIP ON TRAILING ARM
  • REMOVE DRIVESHAFT
  • REMOVE SAFETY WIRE FROM LARGE TRAILING ARM BUSHING BOLTS
  • REMOVE SEATING BRACKETS FOR LARGE TRAILING ARM BUSHINGS BY REMOVING BOLT AT BODY
  • UNBOLT TRAILING ARMS FROM BODY
  • WELD OR BOLT END-LINK BRACKETS PROVIDED ONTO TRAILING ARMS

NOTE: TO LOCATE EACH BRACKET, MATCH THE RADIUS IN THE BRACKET WITH THE RADIUS OF THE SMALL TRAILING ARM BUSHING.

CLEAN STUDS FOR "D" BRACKETS OR DRILL HOLES AND INSTALL BRACKET BOLTS –

 

 

  • LUBE INNER DIAMETER OF "D" BRACKET BUSHINGS WITH LUBRICANT PROVIDED
  • ASSEMBLE "D" BRACKETS AND BUSHINGS ONTO SWAYBAR
  • LOOSELY MOUNT SWAYBAR ON BODY BY SETTING "D" BRACKETS IN PLACE AND STARTING ALL "D" BRACKET RETAINING NUTS (USE WASHERS PROVIDED)

BOLT END-LINKS TO END-LINK BRACKETS ON TRAILING ARMS. No Washers are needed *** bolt head is to the inside –

 

 

BOLT SWAYBAR TO END-LINKS BY RAISING EACH WHEEL HUB UNTIL BOLT CAN BE PUSHED THROUGH EASILY. Use flat washer on inbaord and outboard sides of the end-links **** bolt head is to the outside –LIGHTLY TIGHTEN ALL ENDLINK BOLTS

 

 

  • LIGHTLY TIGHTEN ALL "D" BRACKET NUTS
  • REFIT REAR WHEELS
  • LOWER CAR (IF CAR IS ON JACKSTANDS, LOWER REAR WHEELS ONTO A PAIR OF RAMPS)
  • TIGHTEN ALL ENDLINK BOLTS AND "D" BRACKET NUTS

INSPECT AND TEST DRIVE
